Before purchasing my farm in 2005, I had careers in the fine arts, teaching, horse-training, and journalism, which allowed me to travel the world. Along the way, I was fortunate to be able to practice my other passion - for farming and gardening - and to experiment with growing plants in various climes and latitudes including coastal California, the San Juan Islands, WA, Taos, NM, Burgundy, FR, and Tuscany, IT. After purchasing my farm, concepts of biodiversity guided all aspects of my farm design to include an abundance of life forms including goats, pigs, chickens, horses, bees, perennial and annual flowers, vegetables, fruits, and herbs. For the past five years, I've scaled down the livestock element to expand and further develop my cut flower operation to offer my Central OR community (and native pollinators!) a wide variety of seasonal, fresh-cut bouquets and loose stems from late May to mid-October.
