I have run the small farm at Plenty for 5 years. We grow annuals and some fruits for our food bank. All of the food we grow goes directly into the hands of our neighbors in need. As a small non-profit farm we can focus on growing food sustainably, environmental education, developing Plenty as a place for sharing knowledge and care.
Plenty! nourishes community and preserves Floyd County traditions by
encouraging neighbors to grow and share food while enlivening the
broader conversation about sustainable food practices. Through our small
farm and food distribution facility, we are working to reduce food waste,
grow food sustainably, and to keep vital the Appalachian spirit of respecting
and helping our neighbors and the earth.
